Court of History

Dear Friends of Courage,

I am eager to share with you two video/podcast episodes, each about 25 minutes long. Both episodes are based on an interview I gave on January 13 to the Court of History's Sidney Blumenthal and Sean Wilentz.

Part 1 is about DARVO and the Minneapolis shooting.

Part 2 is about betrayal blindness, institutional betrayal, and institutional courage in our current moment.

I also want to let you know about some of our other work on both the research and education fronts.

In addition to 43 exciting research projects we have funded and the many publications that have already resulted from these projects, our own team also publishes research. I invite you to check out these two new peer-reviewed articles from our team that advance our understanding DARVO and of institutional betrayal as a source of posttraumatic stress:

We are also busy sharing our knowledge with the world and applying what we know to current events. Sarah Harsey and I wrote about the use of DARVO in the aftermath of the tragic shooting of Renee Good in an op-ed published on 15 January 2026: Trump and Vance are using this abuser's tactic to rewrite a terrible crime. Later that same day Kat Tenbarge wrote about our work on DARVO and some of these same issues in her article The smearing of Minnesotans is DARVO.

With appreciation for your support of Courage,
